Southwest Thailand, the previous post was Southeast Thailand, Geography never was my subject!!!!

I survived the full moon, with no injuries, lots of people get cuts on their feet from broken glass and i'm sure a fair few are still recovering from the buckets.

I was very sad to leave Ko Phangnan as I only really saw one beach and was not brave enough to hire a motobike, saw far too many people with massive grazes and broken limbs. But that unfortunatly means its very hard to get around the island..... well I suppose I can't complain about having to spend the days on a pure white sand beach with stunning blue sea and surrounded by palm trees. I managed to go snorkeling a few times and saw lots of new types of fish, although I don't think anything will beat the Red Sea.

We took a boring and long trip with the rest of the masses leaving Ko Phangnan on the 16th, down to Krabi, which was not the nicest place in the world, so left pretty sharpish. We managed to miss the boat to Ko Phi Phi so took the boat to Ko Lanta a bit further south. I don't think we will have time to go back to Ko Phi Phi which is sad (I am very gutted to have to rush this part of the Country as it is truely stunning), as I have to be in Singapore on the 2nd April. That leaves me with 1 week to do Malaysia... aaaahhh I knew I would run out of time. I will definatly have to return to Thailand.

Ko Lanta is another beatiful island, but much less touristy. We are hoping to get some island hoping in tommorrow and maybe go sea kayaking or something a bit more energetic.

Anyway I hope all is well at home.

PS: Where have all my comments gone, has everyone forgotten me?

  • Mum and I are reading, Jenny.

I have just sent you an email about all the places to see in Krabi!

You have just over 2 weeks before you fly from Singapore so enjoy your time left in Thailand & the beaches in Malasia. Remember that Andrew said tht 3 days was quite long enough in Singapore.

    love Mum & Dad
