Northen Laos

After the hussle of Cambodia, Laos is absolutly amazing, its so relaxed and the people so friendly, I feel a lot more comfortable. The capital was very small but a nice town. We moved pretty quickly onto Vang Vien, which is a real traveler hang out, down by the river, with lots of young people and cool bars to go to, some that play friends all day, think we watched nearly a whole series! I loved the tubing, and went twice because it was so good, the scenery was stunning and met lots of people on the way down. There were lots of stop offs to go jumping and down death slides, although safety was none existent, a girl we had just met got badly hurt by a hugh guy jumping on her from a swing... not nice at all, dont fancy the hospitals out here much.
It was hard to leave there, but we managed and have move further north to Lang Prabang, which is much larger but still pretty small and has a good french vibe to it. We are off on a trip tommorrow kayaking and to ride some elephants! which should be good, hope I dont fall off.
love to all jenxx
